I
began by trying to email several contacts that were on the Global Alliance page
from NAEYC, however, most of my attempts were non-deliverable and bounced back.  I am still hoping to get a response from the rest
of the emails that I have sent that did not bounce back as non-deliverable.  I also have sent out some messages through
face book in hopes that I will get a response this way. So far I haven’t heard
from anyone.  If not I guess I will have
to look into option two as the way of completing my blog assignments for this
class.
Below
is the list of contacts that I hope I will get a response from:
·
Association
of Early Childhood Educators Ontario
·
Home
Sweet 2nd Home Childcare in British, Columbia.  I thought that this would be an interesting
contact as she works in family childcare like I do.
·
International
Step by Step Association in Netherlands.
·
Camp
Darby – Livorno Child Development Center in Italy.
·
Early
Childhood Australia Non-Profit Organization
Expanding Resources
The
early childhood website that I have chosen to learn more about is Zero To
Three: National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families.  I have chosen this website because I have
used it several times for a resource in the past, but, I have not had the
opportunity to see what all it has to offer me.
I also chose this website as it is closely related to the age of
children that I currently have enrolled in my family childcare program.
Hi Randee,
ReplyDeleteI looked at the Zero to Three website, I look forward to exploring it more thoroughly. I love the fact that there are professional growth opportunities. :)
Randee, you made great attempts to contact with other professionals!! I hope you have success and hear back from the few you are waiting for! I love the NAEYC website, it is such a GREAT resource! I never thought to use that website to contact with professionals outside of the US, good thinking! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear if you hear back from the non-profit agency in Australia. I work for a non-profit and would love to hear from other non-profits!
You are correct in saying that or no responses from the emails. In addition, many emails are inactive. I have sent several emails out, hoping that get some type of contact. As for the websites, I have not decided on one. I am leaning towards Zero to One.
ReplyDeleteI also had problems sending emails. I sent sixteen emails before they started going through. I sent several emails in hopes of getting a response. Making connections through facebook is a great idea. I will also try connecting through facebook.
